Manage Neuropathy & Debilitating Nerve Pain With
Low Level Light Therapy
There’s an all natural, holistic solution to painful burning and electrical shock-like sensations from Neuropathy
Neuropathy can intrude into one’s life and cause pain at every waking (and also affects sleeping) moment. Painful burning and tingling and electrical shock-like sensations in the feet and legs, hands and arms, and the torso can be relentless, causing constant suffering for an individual and interfering with their sleep. Neuropathic pain is truly debilitating, but Low Level Light Therapy can help.
What Causes Neuropathic Pain?
Neuropathic pain is pain which results from damage/disease of the nervous system itself. Consequently, the nervous system becomes dysfunctional and incorrectly conducts chronic pain messages to the brain, even in the absence of an acute pain stimulus. Damaged nerves display a feature called ‘allodynia’, which is defined as pain resulting from a stimulus that ordinarily does not elicit a painful response (for example touch by a feather). ‘Hyperalgesia’ is a related feature of neuropathic pain and refers to an increased sensitivity to a normally painful stimulus (thus a stimulus which would normally elicit a moderate amount of pain, now elicits a severe amount of pain). Neuropathic pain is caused by disease of the central nervous system (e.g. stroke, multiple sclerosis), and/or disease of the peripheral nervous system (e.g. diabetic neuropathy).

Illuminant Being and Wellness can Help
For some individuals, neuropathic pain is refractory (or partially refractory) to conventional treatments. For others, neuropathic pain is alleviated by conventional medications; but these medications are associated with too many unwanted side effects. Illuminant Being and Wellness can help. At IBW, we will conduct a medical consultation to determine the underlying cause of your neuropathic pain. A therapeutic regimen of Low Level Light Therapy will be tailored to your specific condition to diminish the painful inflammation of your nervous system, and enhance blood flow to your nerves. If you have any questions about how LLLT may help relieve your chronic pain condition, please feel free to call Dr. Candice Perkins for more information at (631) 418-5606
